Fungal Clock Spore Receiver

The fungal clock cultivates ambient fungal time, building a portrait of spore space and its rhythms. It is also an experimental dispositive for communication and divination.

Collaboration with Mycelium Network Society.

Spore

Spore is a 5-panel reflection on the transmission of life and consciousness through space. Silicon carbide molecules were discovered in the Murchison meteorite that are older than the sun itself. They would have travelled during aeons through interstellar space before being incorporated into the meteorite and finally arriving on earth in 1969. Carbon is the basic building block of organic life, while silicon is the base of currently emerging AI life. There were also organic compounds, sugars and fossils found in the meteorite, supporting the Panspermia paradigm, that life on earth is and has been in a constant interstellar dialogue.

ICFY, Quito, 23.1.20

ICFY, I Can’t Forgive You.

I Can’t Forgive You @ ou\ /ert, Bourges.

I can’t forgive you, how you have tortured the world, waged centuries of war against plants and bodies. Trapped in the anguish of binary thought, unbearable diagonal between x and y, I hold onto the bench like a man drowning. A point appears from where to establish relations. To sit down is to be planted, to raise the spirit and the word, find respite in the midst of the horror.

Text, Dramaturgy, Bench and Performer: Pedro Soler. The bench was made with wood from the ZAD, Notre Dame des Landes, including an Airbus palet, locally grown and cut wood, and the ZAD sigil. It was constructed in the Ping Fablab in Nantes, 2019. Sound: Cedric Pigot, Jorge Barco, Laura Areiza. Lights: Bruno. Audiovisuals: Sam. Stone soup: Roy y Cé. Telling of the story: La Amiga Laia, Subtitles: Pedruski, Arial, Kina. Thanks to Spela and everybody else who brought ingredients.

STWST48x5 Stay Unfinished, Linz

WANDERING LAB employs the technique of chromatography as a method for creating a self-portrait of the artist’s wandering lab, moments of a personal, collective and generational journey from digital hopefulness to environmental awareness. The moments and spaces are organised following the reading of the chromatography, situated between organic and mineral, thus escaping from a linear time-based organisation to embrace a topographical snapshot of an unfinished being in laboratories of becoming.
